Unlike many other restaurants in the city located within the stone walls of the Old Town, Marangun is only minutes away by car from the UNESCO Heritage site. The restaurant has wonderful indoor and outdoor seating for warm summer nights and a great space inside for cooler evenings.
Their menu is not too extensive, so the dishes they prepare are very simple and interesting, using seasonings like mint, which may be considered an influence of Western gastronomy but was actually picked around the islands and added to fish stews a hundred years ago. The combination of flavors, from sweet to spicy and refreshing to warm, will wow you. We can't describe it ourselves, so we can only tell you: you won't want to leave.
